Illegal occupation of Dargah land at Shamsabad

Dargah Hazrat Aziz Malik located at Narkhoda village of Shamsabad is one among the innumerable Waqf lands which became victims of Waqf board negligence. It is said that more than 18 acre land was endowed under the said 800 year old dargah. According to legend a generous donor, Sultan Jah Begum had endowed this land for dargah, but a millionaire businessman Ravinder Reddy belonging to Rayalseema and his brother Srinivas Reddy did plotting on the land by encroaching upon the land.

According to locals, Ravinder Reddy and Srinivas Reddy at first, purchased land near the dargah land then gradually they encroached upon the 18 acre and 4 guntas of dargah land and merged into their own land. It is also said that visitors are denied entrance into the dargah.

It must be noted that Narkhoda is at a distance of nearly 27 kms from Hajj House, Nampally; and despite repeated representations Waqf board officials didn’t visited the land so far.
