Illegal occupation of ancient graveyard; graves demolished

There is an ancient graveyard on main road of Pan Mandi, Darus Salam. The graveyard had a small temporary room, the supervisor of the graveyard used to live in. But after a few days, two more concrete rooms were constructed, out of the blue. Many graves were demolished for the construction of the rooms. When our correspondent talked to him he told that ‘the mutavali of the mosque gave permission to do so and we are paying the rent to the mutavali.’

At a little distance away from this in Pan Mandi area only, there is a two storied house of a wrestler which is completely constructed upon graveyard land. When our correspondent tried to take pictures of the houses they resented, as if they have not committed any sin instead taking the picture is a sin.

Thanks to these unscrupulous persons only, residents of the city do not find place in the graveyards for burial.

Recently two rooms were constructed in a graveyard at Fateh Darwaza; when the owners hosted the Ghar Bharauni (new house ceremony), the entire house was decorated with lighting while the shameless creature made seating arrangements for the guest by laying chairs on the graves itself.
