Illegal ghee manufacturing unit sealed, 2 arrested

New Delhi: Police on Sunday arrested two persons for allegedly running an illegal ghee manufacturing unit here.

Police said the factory was sealed after a vigilance raid found that spurious ghee was being manufactured there.

Kotwali police station SHO Dhirendra Yadav said the two accused were identified as Kamesh and Pummy and they were operating the factory from a house near Ganda Nullah.

Police recovered 21,000 litres of ghee. They were selling the ghee under labels of prominent manufacturers, the SHO said.

An FIR has been lodged and further investigation is underway, the officer said.
