Noida, September 22: Police here today claimed to have unearthed an illegal arms unit in junge area and arrested three persons in this connection.
Sector 39 police raided the unit located in a slum area in junge and recovered 17 country-made pistols besides some semi-finished and raw material, they said.
Two persons –Allaudin and Yusuf — were arrested from there.
Police later nabbed their accomplice Shafiq.
During interrogation, they revealed that they used to supply arms to an agent of a panchayat candidate, police said.
