The TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao said that the Andhra government staff working in the Telangana region should leave and made it clear that there were no alternatives for them.
Talking to the Telangana employees here on Friday, he said they only said “Bhago” (run off) to only those employees who got government posts in Telangana illegally and not all. He alleged that he was misquoted by the media and Andhra leaders, He has alleged that there were attacks on the Telangana employees. He said if Andhra employees leave, Telangana employees would get promotions.
KCR described the Sakala Janula Samme as one of the rarest events of the world. He said the employees sacrificed even their festivals to participate in the strike. He also assured the Telangana employees wages equal to the central employees after bifurcation, he also said there would be special increments to those who participated in the Telangana movement and the contract employees would be regularized.
He recalled how his effigies were burnt and he was subjected to mental agony. He bore all that for achieving Telangana, he said. He also asked the people to be vigilant until the Telangana bill was approved in the Parliament. He reminded them that women reservation bill was still pending before the Parliament and hence they could not rest assured until the bill was passed.
He said their jubilations could touch the sky after the Telangana bill was approved by the Parliament.
JAC chairman Kodandaram said they had confidence of achieving Telangana state and asked the people to rest assured. He said the central government should not forget its responsibility to keep up its promise on Telangana. He also said that the death anniversary of Prof Jai Sankar would be observed through out Telangana on August 6. (NSS)
