In separate cases, three persons committed suicide allegedly due to ill-health.
A 35-year-old businessman, G Ravinder Reddy, committed suicide by consuming unknown poison. He took the extreme step on Thursday and was declared brought dead when taken to the Osmania General Hospital, according to Hayathnagar police.
In another case, Shaik Raziya, 20, who had consumed some unknown poison on January 6, died at the Gandhi Hospital on Thursday night. She was resident of Upparpalli in Shamirpet police limits.
In a different case, 40-year-old S Balraj, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Gautam Nagar on Thursday night. According to Malkajgiri police, Balraj, a watchman, was reportedly mentally unsound and was also undergoing treatment for the last few months. (INN)
