A 50-year-old woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze allegedly due to ill-health.
According to Pahadishareef police, the deceased, K Yadamma, took the extreme step at her residence in Ambedkar Nagar Colony near Tukkuguda on Wednesday. She was admitted to the Osmania General Hospital where she died a few hours after admission.
In another case, Shiva Anand, 23, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in HUDA Colony on Wednesday. According to Asif Nagar police, Anand was a taxi driver and ill-health is suspected to have driven him to suicide. (INN)
