Islamabad, September 15: Pakistan cricket Chief (PCB) Ijaz Butt to meet ICC President Sharad Pawar in New Delhi.
According to the news, Ijaz Butt, the PCB chairman, is in India to meet ICC chief Sharad Pawar. While an official statement on his visit is awaited, it is understood that they will meet on Thursday to discuss the spot-fixing controversy, the resumption of bilateral cricket between India and Pakistan and issues related to World Cup revenues.
Butt checked into a New Delhi hotel on Wednesday evening and is waiting to meet Pawar, who is in his home state of Maharashtra and expected to return to Delhi on Thursday.
Butt’s visit comes in the wake of the spot-fixing scandal, in which four Pakistani players have been questioned by Scotland Yard and three of them – Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt – have been suspended by the ICC.
