Chief Minister Mr. N Kiran Kumar Reddy told that maintaining the tradition of the past years, Iftar Party will be arranged on large scale for Muslim brothers with devoutness and reverence and there is no question of cutting corners for the religious and spiritual party in the name of simplicity.
Chief Minister consulted former state minister Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir on the proposal made by some minority leaders to simplify the Iftar party. After consultation it was decided that this year too, Iftar party will be arranged at Nizam College grounds, so that more number of fasting Muslims can attend the party.
Mohammed Ali Shabbir also advised chief minister not to renounce tradition. He said government spends lakhs and crores of rupees on the festivals of various religions. If government is arranging Iftar party from its special budget then it is not doing any favour but is fulfilling the duty of a secular government. He suggested that chief minister issue separate funds for the construction of building of the orphanage, Aneesul Ghurba.
