C.M. of A.P. Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao convened a high level meeting of officials to review the arrangements for Iftaar Party to be held on 22nd July at International Convention Center, Madhapur.
He advised Dy.CM., other Ministers belonging to Hyderabad City and Police Officials to make Iftaar Party arrangements exemplary. He further told that besides VIPs, there should be place for commoners also. It is the first Iftaar Party of Telangana Govt. C.M. wants that grand arrangements should be made for 5-6 thousand persons. In addition to Iftaar and Dinner, special arrangements should be made for offering prayers.
Dy. CM. of Telangana, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali told that in view of forecast of heavy rains during 22-30 July, Iftaar Party is being held at Madhapur. He dismissed the objections made by certain sections of society for arranging Iftaar Party at a far off place. He told that it is not possible to make better arrangements at Nizam College or at any other open place during rainy season. Hitech City is not very far off from the city and the invitee will not have any difficulty in reaching there. Last year, arrangements for prayer were made only for VIPs and the common people were deprived of offering prayers. Due to shortage of space at Nizam College last year, there was pandemonium. This arrangement has been made to avoid such a situation.
The officials apprised the CM about the arrangements of Iftaar, Dinner and Prayer. CM told them that arrangements should be made equally for each section of society. Muslim Ulema and other scholars have consented to attend the function. There are Muslim localities around Hitech City. It is therefore wrong to blame that Iftaar Party is being arranged away from Muslim localities. CM has also instructed to arrange Iftaar parties in all the ten districts. It need be TRS will arrange a separate Iftaar Party in Old city.
