Iftaar parties best examples of communal harmony, says Kodandaram

Hyderabad: Ramadan is the best month to offer service to humanity. The hosting of Iftaar parties fulfills this purpose. Muslims observe fasting, distribute Zakat and offer prayers in this month.

These thoughts were expressed by Prof. Kodandaram, President of Telangana Jana Samithi. The organization hosted Iftaar party on 9th June.

Speaking on this occasion, Prof. Kodandaram told that Iftaar parties help maintain communal harmony and promote brotherhood.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Prof. P.L. Vishwashwar Rao, former Head of the Dept. of Journalism, OU, Mr. Dilip Kumar, former MLC, Mr. Zubair, General Secretary of Jamiat-ul-Ulema and others were present in the function.

Prof. Kodandaram pointed out that the office of Telangana Jana Samithi was inaugurated on 1st of Ramadan.

Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan told that the success of separate Telangana Movement is the result of the sacrifices made by the students but today, they are facing injustices. He further told that the objective of formation of separate Telangana will not be fulfilled unless the students get justice.

He further pointed out that the second issue is of Telangana NRIs. He said that there are 15 states in the country from where Indians went to Gulf countries. Telangana is the second state after Kerala. This NRIs send huge remittances to the State which establishes its economy but TS Govt. is not taking any steps to rehabilitate those NRIs who are coming back from the Gulf countries.

Mr. Dilip Kumar told that Telangana is famous throughout the world for its Ganga Jamuna Civilization. He also told that people from other States visit Hyderabad to see our Eids and festivals. He alleged that TRS exploited Telangana Movement. At the end of the meeting, Mufti Zubair offered special prayer.
