BJP’s Rajya Sabha M.P., Vinay Katiyar who is the face of Ram Mandir Movement told the newsmen yesterday that the construction of Ram Mandir is as important as the economic progress of India. He advised the Govt. to enact a legislation to settle this issue once for all. If this is not done the wrath of the devotees of Ram might erupt as a volcano.
When pressmen reminded him that this issued is pending with Supreme Court, he said that this is right time to decide the case in the light of Allahabad High Court Judgment.
Reacting to the recent statement of Amit Shah that BJP does not have majority in Rajya Sabha to pass the act, he said that this issue has been pending for a long time and it could be resolved through negotiations between the two parties. He further told that the devotees of the Ram have high expectation from the present BJP Govt.
When he was told that the present BJP Govt. assumed power in the name of Good Governance, Development and Eradication of Corruption, he said that the issue of Ram Mandir is also as important as economic progress. He demanded the Govt. to take necessary steps for the construction of Ram Mandir through a dialogue and legislation without waiting for Supreme Court’s judgment.
