HYDERABAD: Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen floor leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi has made sensational comments on Telangana Assembly dissolution.
AIMIM, the oldest party of Telangana presently has seven sitting MLAs and a massive support of the Muslim community.
Addressing a public gathering in Mallepally on Friday, Akbaruddin said, “KCR had said that the elections will happen in November and he will become Chief Minister in December. I am saying.. after the elections in November, I will ask in December who will support us? We too will ask… if Kumaraswamy becomes (Chief Minister), can’t we?”
“If Kumaraswamy can become CM, why not me?” Owaisi added while reminding his father’s words.
KCR on Thursday surprises his political opponents after dissolved the House and choose to go for early assembly polls when the Lok Sabha elections are anyway scheduled in April-May next year.
After dissolving the cabinet, the TRS supremo said, “AIMIM is a friendly party and we will have a friendly contest.”
The same day, he announced the candidates of his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for almost all the 119 seats.
