The Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will collect only Saudi Riyal 469/- towards Qurbani (Sacrifice) from each Haj pilgrim during Haj 2015, announced Telangana State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S. A. Shukoor in a press release on Thursday.
Prof. Shukoor said that earlier it was stated that SR 490 would be charged towards Qurbani. But the IDB, the only body authorized by the Government of Saudi Arabia to perform Qurbani for Haj pilgrims, has reduced the charges for Haj 2015. He said that staff of Consulate General of India Jeddah will coordinate with the IDB in the matter of Qurbani and give the time of Qurbani to the pilgrims so that they could perform other rituals accordingly. A person can be deputed on behalf of 30 pilgrims to oversee the Qurbani, he said. (INN)
