ICET counselling put off

Hyderabad, September 15: The second phase of counselling for Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) for admission into MBA and MCA courses has been postponed. According to ICET Convener Raghunath, the counselling which was scheduled to begin from Wednesday has been cancelled due to the on-going general strike of Telangana employees. He said the new dates for counselling would be announced later.

Of 1,50,194 candidates who appeared for the ICET 2011, as many as 1,26,454 qualified for the examination. The ICET exam conducted for admission into MBA and MCA courses offered by various universities across the State was conducted at 276 centres spread across 25 cities in the State. The results were announced on June 2 and the first phase of counselling was conducted from July 4th.

The final phase of web counselling was scheduled on Wednesday and Thursday. However, due to the general strike this has been postponed.
