Hyderabad, February 05 (INN): Congress MLC P Venkat Rao on Saturday advised the IAS officers to disclose the names of ministers who forced them to commit irregularities.
Talking to reporters at the Congress Legislature Party office, Venkat Rao said that instead of complaining of harassment and pressure from the ministers, the IAS officials should reveal their names who have pressurised them to commit irregularities. He advised the officials to submit the details of irregularities along with the list of ministers to the Central Bureau of Investigation.
Venkat Rao felt that the present situtaion could have been avoided if the IAS officials would have revealed the truth before the CBI. However, he said, concealing information with regard to ministers’ involvement have complicated the situation. He said the IAS officials should expose ministers, if they wish to save themselves.
The former minister said that the Congress party would be affected if some corrupt ministers go to jail. Citing the example of Suresh Kalmadi, A Raja and Dayanidhi Maran, he said those politicians have landed in prison when their role in irregularities was exposed by the officials concerned. He said concealing information would further complicate the situation for the IAS officials. (INN)
