New Delhi, Nov 20: Delhi experienced yet another cold day today as mercury plunged by several notches due to snowfall in upper reaches of Himachal and Kashmir valley. The minimum temperature dipped to 10.7 degree Celsius for the second time this month which is the lowest in the season so far.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.1 degree Celsius while the maximum was recorded at 24 degrees. “Snowfall in higher reaches of Himachal and Kashmir valley has brought down the temperature here,” said a Met official.
During the last week, the temperature in the city has mostly been oscillating between 12 and 25 degrees Celsius. The Weatherman said there could be mist in the morning tomorrow.
The maximum and minimum is likely to hover around 24 and 11 degree Celsius respectively. The all time record for the maximum temperature in November was recorded on the third of the month in 2001 when the mercury rose to 36.1 degrees Celsius.
The record minimum temperature was 3.9 degrees on November 28, 1938.
