Senior Congress leader Renuka Choudary has claimed that she was the daughter of Telangana and would voice Telangana sentiments in her own style.
Talking to the media after getting party nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat, the fire-brand Renuka said the Congress High Command has selected her for the Upper House, in view of the party’s needs at the national level.
PALVAI TOO TO FIGHT FOR TELANGANA
Another Rajya Sabha candidate Palvai Govardhan Reddy has also said that he would continue to fight for Telangana with the Congress High Command. He said he would convey the strong sentiments of Telangana people to the Congress High Command. He said the party lost the earlier by-elections as it has failed to strongly convince the people of its commitment for Telangana. He said even in the latest by-polls (held on Sunday), results could be unfavourable to the Congress because of the same reason. He said, he was, however, sad that K Kesava Rao had not got re-nomination for Rajya Sabha. (NSS)
