Hyderabad, April 23: Income Tax sleuths seized some ‘‘important’’ documents from the office of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited on Thursday.
They are, however, tightlipped over the seizures.
Sources told Express that the raid which began around 3 p.m. on Wednesday ended at 6 a.m. this morning after which the eight-member I-T team left the office. ‘‘Some important documents have been seized and further probe is on,’’ the sources said. The eight-member team was led by IT Assist a n t Commissioner Bhaskar Reddy, who served a search warrant on the company on Wednesday. Additional Commissioner (Unit-I), I-T, K Kamalakar supervised the raid.
Incidentally, Kamlakar was the officer who had monitored the match-fixing case involving a Hyderabadi cricketer and his close associate a few years ago.
