I received Dharmana’s resignation: CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said he received the resignation of Roads and Buildings Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao on August 14.

Mr Rao has resigned in the wake of his name cropping up in the fourth chargesheet filed by the CBI in the court on the lands allotment to Vanipic project.

Speaking to reporters at the end of his three-day Indiramma Baata programme here, the Chief Minister said that he would yet to take a decision on the resignation of his colleague. Replying to a question, Mr Reddy said the Congress government would continue till 2014 and win more Assembly and Parliament seats than now in 2014. He said there was no need for any one to entertain any doubts about the stability of the state government.

Refuting the Comptroller and Auditor General’s report on allotment of coal blocks, the Chief Minister said that many states were reeling under the power crisis due to shortage of coal supply. UNI
