I have written four letters for allocation of gas to ‘T’ plants CM

The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that he has already written four letters to the central government for allocation of gas to the Nedanuru and Sankarapalli plants of Telangana and commented that the Telangana friends might not be knowing it.

The Chief Minister was addressing a review meeting in Khammam as part of his Indiramma Baata to the district. Speaking on the occasion, he said all regions were equal to him. He has been continuing to exert pressure on the central government for provision of gas to both the Seemandhra and Telangana projects

The Chief Minister has asserted that there was no going back on the Polavaram project. Stating that the government had already spent Rs. 4,000 crores on the project, he said it was not possible to change the design at this stage. He said he would talk to the other states involved in the project and added that the Telangana region would not be put to any loss because of Polavaram. Mentioning that so far 400 TMC of Godavari water had gone into the sea, Kiran Kumar Reddy said the water would have been put to good use if Polavaram was completed. He said from Polavaram, Rayalaseema and Telangana regions would get 45 TMC of water from Polavaram.

The Chief Minister has disclosed that plans were afoot to set up a steel plant at Bayyaram in Khammam district and a committee of experts was examining the project. He said the government proposed to hand over the project to the Visakha Steel Plant which has already announced its readiness to invest Rs. 60,000 crores. He has also assured that coal would be allotted to the Seventh Stage of Palwancha.

The Chief Minister has said he would try to instill discipline in the medical sciences and also announced that central drug stores would be established in Srikakulam, Adilabad and Chittoor districts on an experimental basis.
Referring to the criticism of the media on his government, he said he would welcome if the media points out failures of the government.

Kiran Kumar Reddy has said the government planned to set up two tribal battalions. Proposals to set up Mining and Tribal universities were also under the consideration of the government. He has assured tribal villages that they would be provided power supply. He has also said that the government would fill up teachers’ posts as per the Right to Education Act. He has announced that hundred more beds would be allotted to the Khammam government hospital. \
