People have celebrated the 69th Independence Day in a grand manner on Saturday across the Telangana State. On this occasion, Governor ESL Narasimhan extended Independence Day greetings to the people.
Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy at Telangana Bhavan, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna at Adilabad Parade Grounds, Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy at Police Parade Grounds in Nizamabad, Finance Minister Etela Rajender at Karimnagar Police Parade Grounds and CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy at CPI party office hoisted the national flag.
Uttam Flays Centre, TS Govt
At Gandhi Bhavan, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy hoisted the national flag. Speaking on this occasion, Uttam called upon the party workers to strive for strengthening the party. He made it clear that the party will not neglect the workers who believed in party. He said that the Congress party has the credit of running the nation on single path in a secular and democratic way. But, the present rulers were indulging in corrupt practices and criticizing the Congress party as they wished. “The best example for the BJP Government’s failure is it’s failure to bring black money from the foreign countries as promised”, he alleged.
Uttam alleged that in the State, the TRS government failed in all aspects. It failed to give three acre land to the daliths and to provide double bed room houses to the poor. He alleged that the Telangana State stood in second place in farmers’ suicides after the formation of separate Telangana State. The TRS government was abolishing the existing irrigation projects and announcing the same projects with new design at the cost of states exchequer. He said that the people were ready to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS government in the state.
At Indira Bhavan, AICC vice-president Madasu Gangadaram hoisted the flag. Speaking on this occasion, Madasu made it clear that the Congress party will wage a war for the special status to Andhra Pradesh state.
At NTR Bhavan, the Independence Day celebrations were held on a grand note. TTDP president L Ramana hoisted the flag. TTDLP leader Erabelli Dayakar Rao, Greater Hyderabad party Chief Krishna Yadav, MLC TD Janardhan, party leaders and activists participated in the celebrations.
YSRCP Chief YS Jagan hoisted the national flag at the party headquarters here on the occasion of 69th Independence Day. After hoisting the national flag Jagan paid respects to the freedom fighters. He also wished the people of the two Telugu states on the occasion. Several party leaders were present.
At BJP Office
Independence day was celebrated at Telangana BJP headquarters here today. State party president G Kishan Reddy hoisted the tricolor. Union minister Bandrau Dattatreya, MLC Ramachander Rao, BJP leaders Indrasen Reddy, Malla Reddy, ex-MLA Baddam Balreddy, Chinta Samba Murthy and others attended the flag hoisting function.(NSS)
