Chennai, August 09: Controversial New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond today said he felt that he could still play and bowl fast, and hence comeback at 34 would not be difficult for him.
Talking to newspersons at the M A Chidambaram stadium, the Kiwi bowler, who is here with New Zealand Cricket Academy (NCA) team to play in the Buchi Babu tournament said “I have had time-out and a few injuries and my body hasn’t had the amount of workload as some other players.
So there will be a point of time I would feel like giving up. But at this point of time, I still feel I can play and bowl fast. So I might as well play.” Asked how he felt about his comeback into the New Zealand team at 34, he said I am actually looking forward to it. It’s a second opportunity to play for my country and I still love the game.” “There are still some things I would like to do in the game. So I would see how it goes. And hopefully I should be able to do the way I did last time”, the handsome paceman said.
