AHMEDABAD: Ashraf Kesrani has bagged first position in the All India Postgraduate National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (PG-NEET).
A student of Baroda Medical College, Ashraf scored 1,006 in this examination of 1200 marks, the result of which declared on Thursday.
Coming from a middle class family, whose father works in a private firm, it was not easy for Ashraf to achieve such a big success but
he has fulfilled his dream of getting into best medical college without paying exorbitant fees with his hard work and positive thinking.

Ashraf started preparing for this examination from the first year of MBBS and with his ‘I can do it’ mantra, he has brought glory to the state by getting the first number (AIR-1) across India.
“It was my dream to get top ranks so that I can study without putting my father under the financial burden of paying hefty fees for PG medical courses. I am happy that I have fulfilled this dream,” Ashraf was quoted as saying to Times Of India.

Ashraf will be the first to become a doctor. He wants to pursue his MD medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College of New Delhi.
In all, 1.43 lakh students from India appeared in the entrance out of which 78,660 students have qualified. From Gujarat, 6,000 students appeared and only 10 students listed in top 100 with Ashraf bagging the first rank in the country.
