Hyderabad, January 20: Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP)leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy today claimed that he was a true ”Telanganavadi” and was ready to sacrifice anything to achieve separate Telangana state.
Addressing newspersons in the premises of the State Assembly here, he found fault with a section of electronic news channels which had allegedly been reporting that differences had again cropped up between TDP President Narachandrababu Naidu and him, and he had decided to quit the party. He appealed to the channels ”not to telecast speculations” and create a rift among party leaders.
However, Mr Janardhan Reddy maintained that he was still committed to the demand of a separate wing for Telangana TDP affairs and would move the proposal again with the party president.
He underlined the need for unity among their party leaders to fight for separate Telangana state and hoped that all leaders were committed to the cause.
”If anyone tries to decieve or goes back on the struggle, the people of the Telangana region would teach a fitting lesson to them,” he said.
