I am not interested in any post or position: Rahul Gandhi

Bhadoi,February 07: Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi today said his fight was not for any post or position but to allow the voice of the people to be heard in Parliament and state assembly.
Mr Gandhi said he wants to change Uttar Pradesh and it was the people of this state who would bring about the change.

”Politics does not mean grabbing posts. Politics meant what I had learnt in the past seven years and it only means reaching out to people,” he said.

Addressing series of election meetings , the Congress leader said that the people had the power but werenot utilising it in a proper manner.” This is because your hands are tied and it is the duty of the government to untie them. The Congress government will untie your hands and change the state,” he stressed.

Recalling his early days in politics, he said that at that time he used to observe from a distance. At that time, the Congress had made one promise to the people that if it formed government, it would be a government for the people, for the poor, for the farmers and for the deprived sections of society.
”I am in politics since 2004 and I have got my education abroad but the farmers of Bundelkhand taught me what the professors there did not. You people have knowledge and experience; you work in the fields all day. When I listen to officers in Delhi and then talk to you, I find a vast difference– your knowledge is greater,” he said.
