Whenever elections were held in the State, it would be YSR Congress that would sweep, said Nallapureddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy, who won with a good majority in Kovuru as the party’s candidate.
Talking to the media after he was declared elected, Prasanna said that his victory was a slap on the face of both the Congress and the TDP. He said that he only talked about his victory and never talked about his majority. However getting a majority of 23,496 votes was a great achievement. Blaming the Congress and the TDP of spending money lavishly for wooing voters, Prasanna said his victory is not a mean achievement. He said the days of both the parties were numbered.
He felt that his victory was due to the yeomen services rendered to the State by late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He said that people had blessed him with a big victory under the dynamic leadership of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that he would ever be grateful to the people of Kovuru and all those who worked for his victory.(NSS)
