Hyderabad: A. K. Khan the advisor to the government for minority affairs said that although he was offered other posts by the government, he accepted this post with a purpose to serve minorities and strive for their development.
A felicitation programme of Abdul Khayyum Khan was held at Hajj House Nampally by Minority Welfare Department. Addressing on the occasion he said he was expecting some key posts by the government after his retirement, but when the chief minister offered him the post of advisor to the government for minority affairs, he immediately accepted it, aiming to serve the community. He asserted he would try to accomplish the work he began during past one year during his tenure. He said he has been serving on various posts for the past 14 years in Hyderabad and he has received a lot of love and affection from the people of Hyderabad.
