South Korean auto giant Hyundai Motor will recall nearly 600 vehicles having faulty wipers that may block the view of drivers and cause safety problems, China’s quality watchdog said on Friday.
The recall will involve imported Equus models produced between July 10, 2011 and June 12, 2012 and imported Rohens sedans produced between August 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement.
Hyundai will recall 597 vehicles for having faulty wipers that may block the view of drivers and cause safety problems, the statement said. The manufacturers will offer free inspections and replace the defective parts in the recalled cars.
