Hyderabad: One of the two Indians arrested in Pakistan’s Cholistan for illegally entering the country, is a software engineer by profession from Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam.
The man identified as Prashant Vaindam is an engineer based in Hyderabad had been reported as missing for the past two years. His video message has been doing the internet rounds since Monday, News18 reports.
According to reports, he had allegedly entered neighbouring country Pakistan without any valid documents through Rajasthan.
On Monday, the Pakistani media reported about the two Indian nationals arrest made on 14 November in a desert close to Bahawalpur district.
Cops are puzzled over how Prashant landed in Pakistan when he wanted to go to Switzerland to meet his online girlfriend.
Speaking in Telugu, the youth says that he hopes to be released from jail within a month.
“Mummy
and daddy, how are you? Now they brought me to court from police station
after it was declared that there was no problem. They will now send me to jail from court and inform the Indian Embassy. I can then contact you,” Prashant said.
“Now than I am being sent to jail, the bail process will start. India and Pakistan exchange prisoners and it takes time,” he added, but he remained mum about how or what circumstances landed him in Pakistan.
