Hyderabad: A Hyderabadi pilgrim Mrs. Mumtaz Banu, W/O Mohammed Hasan R/O Hafez Baba Nagar died in Makkah Moazzama three days ago. She was 66. She had gone to Hajj along with her daughter and son-in-law Mr. Zakir under cover no TSR-5786-3-0 on August 23. She was scheduled to return on October 7.
As she suddenly fell ill, she was shifted to Al-Noor Hospital in Makkah. All pilgrims of her batch including her daughter and son-in-law left for Madina while she was admitted in the hospital. It was planned to send her to Madina through ambulance after her health becomes stable. But her health further deteriorated and she died on October 3. Her funeral prayer was offered after Fajr prayers at Haram Shareef on Wednesday and was buried in a graveyard at Makkah Mukarrama.
Special Officer Telangana state Hajj Committee Prof. S A Shukoor condoled her death and prayed for her high rank in Jannah.
