Dr. Eesa Abdur Rahman son of Mr. Fazalur Rahman of Hyderabad who was serving the victims of Syria in refugee camps was killed recently he was serving for the past one year. He belongs to a businessmen family of Hyderabad he had come to Hyderabad in January 2012 to meet his relatives, he was 26 years old, he went to Syria through a British organization “Hand In Hand For Syria”.
Dr. Eesa died at 11 pm on wednesday last when an attack was made on his clinic. Dr. Eesa graduated from Imperial College (U.K.) . He married the daughter of an Indian from Hyderabad a few years back. He was also a good Qari. He belonged to 3rd generation of family of Hyderabad which had migrated to UK. The officials of Syria claimed the Doctor Eesa Abdur Rahman was working for a terrorist organization Jamiat Un Nasra but Ms. Imam Marfi the leader of Hand In Hand For Syria Organization contradicted the claims made by the government of Syria and said that her organization was working for providing Medical aid and also to protect Human Rights. It was not affiliated to any other organization. She said that her organization was registered in February 2012. She told the Dr. Eesa was very compasionate and kind hearted doctoer he had identified himself as a sympathetic doctor right from his young age. Being an Arabic speaking doctor he became very popular very soon in Syria. When Indian Embassy in Syria was contacted, they confirm the death of Dr. Eesa but they didn’t confirm his association Jamiat Un Nasra.
According to Indian Diplomatic sources there are only 12 to 15 Indian citizens in Syria out of which 4 citizens would return to India within a week. According to Indian Embassy, the remaining citizens are working in a factory which is a safe place but Indian Diplomatic Mission has advised them to leave Syria. The Trustee Hand In Hand For Syria Organization Dr. Mahmood Al Kara told that when Dr. Eesa returned to UK 6 weeks back he was advised not to go to Syria but he was went upon continuing his mission to provide medical aid to the victims.
