According to Mr. Ghayasuddin Babu Khan Chairman Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust a programme for 130 young widows and their 180 children who are studying was organised at trust office Begumpet. Mr. Ghayasuddin Babu Khan, Mr. Syed Agha, ICNA Relief Canada, Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, Mr. Aliuddin Hyder and Mr. Kaleemuddin USA addressed the programme.
He assured the widows that educational help will be provided to their children. If anyone has any skill it would be used as a way of earning, so that they can become self dependent and do not need to ask.
In this connection Fed Welfare Society has decided to provide interest free loans to the widows to associate themselves to small business. A budget of 25 lakhs has been allocated through which nearly 500 widows will be provided interest free loans.
On the occasion each widow was given 1500 rupees besides a blanket a bed sheet and kits comprising of Quran with translation, while the students were given 500 rupees each along with school bag, note books and uniform. Orphan girls were given marriage kits comprising of 22500 rupees.
