Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police arrested a man who had posted a fake profile and had assured a girl that he would marry her.
On the complaint lodged by the girl, police arrested Sainath (20), a native of Khammam.
Sainath, a Physiotherapist by profession elicited the details of a girl from a matrimonial website. He contacted the girl posing himself as a doctor and promised her to marry.
Subsequently, he started taking money from the girl on various pretexts.
In this way, he collected Rs. 2.8 lakh from the girl. When the girl demanded to repay the amount, he started threatening her.
He manipulated the photographs of the girl with objectionable poses and threatened her to send those photographs to her relatives and friends.
Vexed with his harassment, the girl abandoned her job in Malaysia and came back to Hyderabad.
She lodged a complaint with Rachakonda police. Cybercrime cell of Rachakonda police arrested the fraudster. He was sent into judicial custody.
