Hyderabad: Woman murdered after resisting sexual advances

Hyderabad: Inspector of Police, Malakpet, Mr. A. Ganga Reddy informed that the dead body of 38-year-old Parveen Begum was found in her flat in East Prashant Nagar, Musaram Bagh on 29th September when foul smell spread the area.

On investigation, police found that the woman was killed after she resisted sexual advances by three persons belonging to Assam on 25th September. It was also found that in 2006, the deceased was having illicit contacts with Ikramuddin of Delhi. It is reported that the woman had got separated from her husband two years after marriage.

Parveen Begum had started coconut rope business with her partner Taqi Afsar. He employed seven persons from Assam. They used to come to Parveen’s house quite often to get their salaries. Ameer Chaand of Assam and other young boys attempted to have physical contacts with Parveen Begum. She admonished them. These three youths entered Parveen Begum’s house on the night of 25th September and slit her throat with a knife. Police arrested them and seized the murder weapon.
