Hyderabad: In the wake of intensive heat, cold breeze started blowing in the evening of Saturday in Hyderabad. At some places, showers were witnessed which gave a relief to the residents.
In the courtyard of Makkah Masjid, the worshippers got a sigh of relief.
According to Met office report, cold breeze will continue till 14th May.
It may be mentioned that for the past few days, at some places in Telangana, mercury touched 46 degree Celsius.
Met office also made a forecast that in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana cold breeze will continue at a speed of 30-40 kmph. This pleasant weather is due to the Fani cyclone which was active in the coastal districts of AP.
Rain showers and hail storms made the weather pleasant. Showers started at 7:30 p.m. which continued till 11:30 p.m.
Rain had already started at 7:30 p.m. at Kukatpally, Qutbullapur, Begumpet, Khairtabad, Alwal, Malkajgiri, Uppal, LB Nagar, Chanchalguda, Kothapet.
Later, rain spread in the areas of Nampally, Abids, Afzalgunj, Koti, Vanasthalipuram, Amberpet, Nagole, Alwal, Tarnaka, Habshiguda, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills.
The city recorded 4.9 mm rain yesterday.
