Hyderabad: A citizen was fined Re. 1 lakh for violating traffic rules.

In an incident, a car owner neglected 70 challans for traffic violations. Since he was not paying the fines, police approached the court and got a notice issued against him.
After getting the notice, the commuter became alert and paid the challan amount through online and saved himself from legal proceedings.
According to the report, police had issued 70 challans for various traffic violations by a person who owned a BMW car. These violations include driving with greater speed, jumping traffic signals etc.
In this manner, traffic violations proved very costly to the commuter.
