Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police is attentive and responsive to complaints/ suggestions of citizens received through Hawkeye app, Hyderabad Traffic Police Whats App (9490616555), Facebook page, Twitter handle, Hyderabad Traffic Live application and Helpline (9010203626).
Hyderabad Traffic Police receive complaints from citizens regarding visible violations like driving without helmet, wrong or improper number plate, wrong side driving, triple riding, Autos and Buses violations etc. Hyderabad Traffic Police take cognizance of all the complaints and issued e-challan against erring drivers. 100% compliance was given to the complaints received from the citizens. Traffic Police also receive suggestions/problems from road users regarding re-engineering, traffic signals, road conditions etc. Hyderabad Traffic Police address these suggestions/problems to various stakeholders like GHMC, R&B and Hyderabad Metro Rail and pursue the issues to get redressal of the problems.
Facebook has chosen Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook page in the top three ranked pages amongst all the Indian Traffic Police. It is pertinent to mention that the Hyderabad Traffic Police Facebook stood III in all India rankings based on interaction on the platform which includes total reactions, shares and comments for which In the year 2018, Hyderabad Traffic Police received 17,280 complaints through Hawkeye app, Hyderabad Traffic Police Whats App, Facebook page, Twitter handle, Hyderabad Traffic Live application and Helpline (9010203626) and issued e-challans against 17,084 violators after thorough scrutiny of images and video clips.
Similarly the Traffic wings of Cyberabad and Rachakonda Commissionerates also issued e-challan against 21,481 and 685 MV Act violators respectively in the year 2018. Citizens are requested to send violation images to Hawkeye app, Hyderabad Traffic Police Whats App, Facebook page, Twitter handle, Hyderabad Traffic Live application and Helpline (9010203626), with clear image/short clip of violation with visible registration number of vehicle with date/time and place to issue e-challan. Citizens are requested to cooperate with Hyderabad Traffic police to improve Traffic discipline among commuters of Hyderabad City and make Hyderabad road more safe and accident free, a press note said.
