According to a report Hyderabad has joined 3 major cities which send maximum number of students to American Universities. Beijing (China) is the city which sends largest number of students to US whereas Shanghai (China) is the second largest city. Hyderabad is the third in the world next to it is Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). From Hyderabad during 2008-2012, 26,220 students sought admissions in American Universities. According to a report published by Institute of International Education, India is the second largest country which sends its students to US. In 2013, 96, 754 students were successful in getting admissions in various courses of American Universities.
According to a press note issued by American Consulate at Hyderabad the number of visas for Indian has not been reduced but it is been issued after verification. An American Corner has been setup at St. Francis College, Begumpet for offering guidance to the students about American Universities. This guidance is available from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays.
