Hyderabad: Three unidentified armed men attacked a retired Navy officer on Wednesday night in Humayun Nagar.
Ikramuddin Kaleem, 56, who stays in Elegance Apartments was attacked when he was parking his car after returning from Numaish (exhibition), police said as per a report by DC.
“Ikramuddin Kaleem retired 20 years ago. On Wednesday night, the accused came with swords and attacked him,” police said, adding that a land dispute might have led to the incident.
Mr Kaleem was moved to a private hospital in Banjara Hills and is undergoing treatment.
The Humayun Nagar police have booked a case under relevant sections of IPC. Special teams are also deployed to arrest the assailants.
The former Navy officer could be seen in the pool of his blood after the attack in CCTV footage.
