Hyderabad: Student hangs himself during video call over alleged failure in love

Hyderabad: In yet another tragic incident, a 20-year-old ITI student committed suicide over alleged failure in love. This incident took place in Vinayak Nagar, Hyderabad. He committed suicide by hanging himself during a WhatsApp video call.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, he took this extreme step during a video call with a girl who had reportedly rejected his proposal.

As per the details furnished by police, Ajmer Sagar, a native of Sircilla District was a student of ITI studying in the second year. He was staying at his sister’s house in Vinayak Nagar. He decided to end his life at around 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday when there was no one in the house.

Talking about the case, Mr. J. Venkat Reddy, Sub –Inspector of Police, Neredmet, told that this incident came to limelight when the victim’s sister contacted her house owner as Sagar was not responding to her calls. The house owner found the victim’s body hanging.

During preliminary investigation, police found a recording of WhatsApp video call. In the video which went viral, Sagar can be seen talking to a minor girl and then hanging himself.
Mr. M. Jagadish Chander, Inspector of Neredmet Police told that Sagar was in love with a girl. However, she had rejected the proposal. Their parents also refused it. Due to these rejections, Sagar was in depression.
The dead body was handed over to the family after conducting postmortem at Gandhi Hospital mortuary.

Police registered a case and started investigations.
