Hyderabad: Social activist celebrates his son’s marriage in masjid, sets example

Hyderabad: These days, Muslim girls are facing a lot of problems in getting married. Due to heavy demands of dowry and extravagant expenses in marriages, Muslims society is getting ruined.

NRIs and boys employed in MNCs also spend a lot of money in marriages.

The campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily and other voluntary organizations for minimizing marriage expenses is yielding positive results but this is limited only to a few families. If this campaign is launched in other parts of the country, it may yield good results.

In one such marriage function held at Masjid Alia, Opposite Nizam College, no extravagant expenses were made. In this function, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and other dignitaries were present.

It was the marriage function of Mr. Syed Waseem, the son of Mr. Syed Saleem, Social Activist.

The marriage was performed in a simple manner. Even the groom’s car was not decorated with flowers.
