Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao said that the people of Andhra Pradesh would demand Union Territory status for Hyderabad, if Section-8 of AP Reorganisation Act is not implemented.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Ganta reiterated that the Law and Order powers in the joint capital area should be given to the Governor. He alleged that the Telangana Government was not cooperating with the AP Government on any issues which has been leading to several complications. He said that the Education Department has so far met Governor ESL Narasimhan 23 times and still could not come out with a solution. He said that the Telangana Government was even hesitating to share details related to State Council for Higher Education.
Ganta said that the AP Government would approach the court against the attitude of Telangana Government which, he feared, could spoil the careers of AP students. (INN)
