Hyderabad: In an incident of corporal punishment which took place in a school at Kothapet, master allegedly beat the girl student for not dancing properly.
According to the report published in DC, the dance master and the principal of Sri Chaitanya School were booked for allegedly punishing class IV student.
It is also reported that a case was registered under section 323 of IPC and section 75 of JuvenileJustice Act.
Reacting on the issue, child rights activists demanded action against such teachers and schools.
According to the details, dance master Prabhaker beat the girl who was practising dance in the school. He got angry when the girl was not able to follow the steps.
She got injured due to this corporal punishment. Prabhaker also beat other girls.
After the incident, parents staged a dharna. A police complaint was also lodged.
In the complaint, the girl’s uncle said that Prabhaker beat the girl. He further claimed that school principal was supported him.
