Hyderabad: As a part of Animal Adoption Programme of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, the State Bank of India, Hyderabad circle local Head Office, Koti adopted 15 Tigers in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
K. V. Bangar Raju, DGM & CDO, presented a cheque of Rs. 15.00 lakh to R. Shoba, I.F.S., Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana State, Hyderabad, in the presence of Dr. Sidhanand Kukrety, I.F.S., Addl. Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests & Director (FAC) Zoo Parks, Hyderabad, N. Kshitija, I.F.S., Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, LSSVD Hanumantha Rao, AGM-PR, T. Harinath Reddy, DM-PR, Dinesh P, AVP-Marketing at Tiger Enclosure in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad. Later they took a round of the Zoo and appreciated the maintenance of animal enclosures, animal health and cleanliness of the Zoo Park.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sidhanand Kukrety, I.F.S., Addl. Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests & Director (FAC) Zoo Parks, Hyderabad thanked the officials of SBI, Hyderabad for showing keen interest in adopting the tigers for the consecutive 6th year, there by strengthening the wildlife conservation and awareness programms of the Zoo Park. He also appealed to all the banks and other corporates to come forward in more number towards the animal adoption scheme in the Zoo Park.
K.V. Bangar Raju, DGM & CDO, SBI, Hyderabad said that he is impressed with the maintenance and the way animals are being taking care in Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad and that he has visited to many Zoos across the country, but Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad the best in all aspects.
N. Kshitija, I.F.S., Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad thanked the officials of the SBI, Hyderabad for being a valuable member of Zoo family continuing the relation with the Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad and also hoped that their initiative towards conservation of wildlife will inspire and interest many other corporates & individuals. She urged the people and organizations to take part in this journey of Conservation, Breeding, Education with Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.
As a part of Study tour to Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad “Zoo Directors and Veterinary Officers” from Maharashtra Zoo Authority, Maharashtra visited Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad on 28th & 29th November, 2019. The Member Secretary and Members of Maharashtra Zoo Authority interacted with R. Shoba, I.F.S., Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Telangana, Hyderabad and Dr. Sidhanand Kukrety, I.F.S., Addl. Prl. Chief Conservator of Forests & Director (FAC), Zoo Parks, Hyderabad in the presence of N. Kshitija, I.F.S., Curator, Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad.
The members of Maharashtra Zoo Authority shown keen interest in maintenance of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad. They visited all the animal enclosures and night enclosures, Safari park, Mouse Deer Conservation Breeding Centre and Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre, Veterinary Hospital, Feed Store, workshop etc.,.
The Member Secretary and the members appreciated the initiative & dedication of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad staff and expressed their satisfaction over their visit to Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad and said that they have learned many new initiatives in the maintenance of Zoo Park and wished to implement the same in their Zoo Parks.
