Hyderabad: Rs 3 crore seized in Banjara Hills

Hyderabad: Police are conducting a mass scale search of all the vehicles during the present election campaign.

In one such search operation, police seized Rs 3 crore in Banjara Hills area yesterday.

It is reported that the police team was engaged in conducting the operation at Road number 10, Zohra Nagar, Banjara Hills, a vehicle passing through that area was intercepted and search operation was conducted.

It seized Rs 3 crore from the vehicle and diamond ornaments. Jeweller, Suresh Kumar was arrested and the vehicle was seized.

It is reported that Suresh Kumar lends money on interest to politicians during the election campaign.

Local police refused to divulge further information. It is expected that Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police will present the accused before media persons in a press conference to be held today (i.e; 5th April).

In another case, police seized a vehicle at Dharan Karan Road, Ameerpet area which was carrying Rs 29 lakh. The amount and the vehicle were seized by the police. The Task Force also arrested two persons who were carrying money.
