Several issues related to Hyderabad city came up for discussion at an all-party meeting presided over by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here today.
Rao explained the Government’s proposal to cleanse the Hussain Sagar lake which is highly polluted now. He also informed the Government’s idea to develop a separate lake for immersion of idols during festivities, according to a release from his office.
The leaders of different parties assured their support for cleansing the medieval-era lake, it said.
The Chief Minister said his administration would like to act tough with regard to land grabbing in the capital city.
Noting that the Government would furnish all details about land grabbing, he asked the parties to give their views in the all-party meet to be held on December 16.
Rao spoke about a proposal to make changes to the alignment of Metro Rail project and asked the parties to give their views in the next meeting, the release added.
