Hyderabad: Realtor cultivates marijuana, arrested

Hyderabad: A man held for cultivating marijuana on his terrace.

According to the report published in Telangana Today, Prohibition and Excise Dept. held K. Gnaneswar Goud, a realtor on Thursday for cultivating a marijuana plant on the terrace of his house at Hafeezpet.

It is also reported that Basanth Vadiyar, tenant of Goud is absconding.

Giving the details of the case, B. Gandhi Naik, Serilingampally Excise Inspector said that both Goud and Vadiyar were growing the plant. The plant had grown up to 7.5 feet.

He further said that investigation is going on to find out whether they were growing for their personal consumption or for selling it.

A case is book under sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
