Hyderabad: The mismanagement and negligence at Osmania General Hospital came to light on Tuesday, when rats nibbled the nose and mouth of a woman’s dead body at the OGH mortuary.
According to sources, Madhu (22) resident of Afzal Sagar, Mallepally married to Kumar in the year 2014. After marriage woman gave birth to a girl child but the baby could not survive. Since then the woman was very tense and had gone out of her senses.
Meanwhile she again became pregnant but her mental condition did not improve. On Monday she hanged herself to death. Habeeb Nagar police shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital morgue for post mortem. On Tuesday it was found that rats had eaten away her nose and mouth.
Family members of the deceased protested against the negligence of hospital. Later the body was handed over to them after post-mortem.
