Hyderabad: CEO of world fame Microsoft Corporation, Satya Nadella was an old student of Hyderabad Public School. There are others who were also the students of this school. They include, IFS Officer, Mr. Syed Akbaruddin, Indian Permanent Representative to UNO, former CM of integrated AP, Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, present CM of AP, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, noted cricket commentator, Mr. Harsha Bhogle, Chief CEO of Master Card, Mr. Ajay Bangla, former CEO of Fax Financial Holding, Prem Vatsa, CEO of Adobe Systems, Shantanu Narayan, MP of Hyderabad, Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi etc.

It may be mentioned that HPS was established in 1923 only with six students. Now, it has nearly 3000 students. The former CM of AP, Dr. M. Chenna Reddy had thrown it open for girl also. He had made the Principal Secretary, Dept. of Education as the Chairman of the Board of Governors.
This school is located on a sprawling campus covering an area of 130 acre. It is reported that this campus area is more than Vatican City. HPS has been categorized as a heritage building.
